Please Donate to Our Toy Drive

This winter, we invite you to support our Toy Drive, running from November 18th to December 18th. This initiative is designed to bring joy and hope to children in need. By donating new and unwrapped toys, you help create a sense of normalcy and happiness for those who have faced immense challenges.

Your contributions will not only provide smiles and laughter but also show these children that they are cared for and remembered during a difficult season. Each toy represents a gesture of kindness and support, reminding them that they are not alone on their journey to healing.

To donate items to our Toy Drive, please contact Diane Presta, Senior Manager of Fund Development and Communications, at diane.presta@jeantweed.com or call 416-712-4295.

A Story of Hope:

Finding Strength at the Jean Tweed Centre

A mother and her young child were trapped in a cycle of fear and abuse, living each day under the shadow of danger. To protect her child from the violence that surrounded them, the mother resorted to substances, trying to stay awake and alert during the long, sleepless nights.

Leaving felt impossible; the unknown was daunting, and the grip of trauma weighed heavily on her. Despite the pain and suffering, the thought of escaping seemed out of reach, especially with her own struggles clouding her judgment.

Then one day, she discovered the Jean Tweed Centre—a beacon of hope in her darkest moments. There, she found a safe space for herself and her child to heal. With the support of compassionate staff, she began to reclaim her life, learning to navigate her trauma while ensuring her child felt the warmth and security they had long been missing.

At the Jean Tweed Centre, she realized that she was not alone. Together, they found the strength to move forward, ready to embrace a brighter future.
